Eddie Lawrence Koshin

November 23rd, 2018

Eddie was born in Calgary on June 22, 1939 at the General Hospital and passed away on November 23, 2018 at the age of 79 years.

He grew up in Forest Lawn seeing many changes along the way over 70 years.  Eddie attended Bow River School and as there were no junior or senior high schools in Forest Lawn at the time students had to attend Calgary schools.  Eddie attended Colonel Walker and graduated from Western Canada High School.  He worked for the Calgary Board of Education after graduating.  Eddie discovered that his preference was to be outdoors.  He enjoyed working in the field of construction.

Being athletic Eddie enjoyed playing baseball and hockey growing up.  He was one of the artistic family members that could draw and design.  He loved singing and playing guitar.  He was a wonderful older brother always caring, kind, loving and protective.  When Eddie was out and about he chatted with everyone.  When he met someone he remembered everything about them and was always happy to meet again.

Eddie is survived by his brothers, Guy Koshin (Brenda), Terry Koshin (Brenda); sister, Marion Holmes; twin daughters, Hillarie Ford and Kimberly Leger; niece, Vanessa Holmes fondly called "Dumbrowski"; nephews, Sheldon Koshin, Mark Holmes, Steven Koshin, Corey Koshin; sister-in-law, Marlene Irwin fondly called "Huck".

Our time together will be missed greatly.

Messages:

Terry, Marion & Dad-sorry for your loss. Terry & Marion - I knew Eddie was really sick as Mom keeps me up to date. Good he had the two of you there to be with him at this time. Marion -I am glad you took Mom up every day when she was there as she was pretty upset thinking the worst could happen. You are the family trooper.

Eddie will be sorely missed by all family and friends that interacted with him and loved him. Marion and Terry-your devotion and caring made this journey easier for Eddie. I was blessed to have spent the week visiting him in the hospital-we were able to recall the good old days and shared a few laughs which will never be forgotten. You are in a better place-R-I-P my dear.
