STYANT, Sidney James
Sidney Styant passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Airdrie at the age of 60 years. Sidney was the son of Sidney Eric & Anne Yakmyshyn and born on May 11, 1956 in Paget, Bermuda. He loved the mountains, sports of all kinds, reading and his two dogs. He was a generous son, brother, husband, grandfather and friend to Wendy & Fiona, Molly (Malone), Nigel (Nicole), Duncan (Tasha), and Colin (Holly) as well as his grandsons, Tyr & Zeus. He also leaves behind many friends and relatives in the U.K. Sidney was predeceased by his father, Sidney Eric; and his sister, Denise.
A Celebration of Sidney’s Life will be held at The Clubhouse, 12 Woodside Rise NW, Airdrie, AB, on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm. For those who would like, donations may be made in Sidney’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, #204, 2323 – 32 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 6Z3.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Sid's passing. I will always remember how quickly Sid became my best friend nthrough those difficult high school years and all the great times we shared. My thoughts are with Molly, Nigel, Duncan and Colin in your grief.
