Bernie was born to George and Della on September 18, 1938 in Cochrane, Ontario and passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 78 years. Bernie had the courage to move his young family to Alberta in 1968 and achieved great success as a business owner of Calgary Hose Headquarters. He retired in 2002, but Bernie’s affinity for business, customer service and hard work stayed with him. He instilled a work ethic in us that we will always be thankful for.
Dad was a man who loved a good joke and was always teasing everyone around him. He loved to drive, listen to music and thoroughly enjoyed a good cup of coffee. Dad loved country living and to tinker on his acreage in Cochrane, Alberta. He loved to read newspapers and books, marking passages that were meaningful to him.
He was an extraordinary Dad and Grampa - spending countless hours at horse shows and hockey rinks with his grandchildren and cherishing time with his great-granddaughters.
Dad - we will miss you every day.
