Arthur Hobbs passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the age of 59 years in Gatineau, Quebec. Art was born in Grand Falls Windsor, NFLD on July 13, 1957.

Art is lovingly remembered by his five children, Jennifer (Bryan) Dell, Dakota Hobbs, Danny Hobbs, Bojrn McDonald, Jarika McArthur; stepchildren, Lisa Smith, Richard Goulet, Jamie Goulet; Jennifer’s son, Dextyn Dell, Dakota’s children, Ethan Gauthier and Jennisa Jenkinson, Bojrn’s children, Jayda, Kaylee & Karlee McDonald; 9 siblings, Lionel Hobbs, Alma Murray, Martha Knight (Bill Burdon), Max (Pearl) Hobbs, Gerald Hobbs, Les (Marilyn) Hobbs, Lynn Hobbs, Dorothy (Keith) Lindahl and Sharon Hobbs (John Lane); former spouse, Sandy Tiedemann; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Marguarita Hobbs and daughter, Kaitlyn Hobbs.

Art was musically talented and loved to entertain. He loved being on stage performing his Elvis impersonation shows. Art had a great sense of humor and always had fun making people laugh. He will be deeply missed but memories of him will live on forever.

A Celebration of Art’s Life will be held at the First Alliance Church, 12345 40 Street SE, Calgary, AB on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow. Please wear Art’s favorite colors (Red & Black) in honor of him in celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Art’s memory at the Church where we will have a donation drop box where all proceeds collected will go towards the funeral costs.

He will be miss . He made a lot of people smile because he loved to smile himself . It has been a long time since I have seen him. But I will miss him. My prayers and hugs go out to the family.

I have many great memories of Art growing up, us kids always having sleepovers and Art would always put on Elvis show for us! he was a very memorable man. Very sorry to hear about your loss. He will definitely never be forgotten. RIP ART. XOXO
