Messages:

With Heartfelt Sympathy to the whole Higgin's family. Auntie Ev will be sadly missed by us and by so many other lives she has touched over the years. She always made me laugh and had some good stories to tell. She was enthusiastic, joyful and just good fun to be around. She loved to shop and always dressed and looked so pretty. She was very much Loved and will live on in our hearts forever. Thinking and caring about you all at this sad time. Wendy and Allan

Dear Patty, David, Valerie & All other family members of late Evelyn, Evelyn - whom I also called mom at times - as I got to know her since October 2000 will be missed forever. She was loving, straight-forward, funny but a devout Catholic since she was received into the Roman Catholic Church by me at the end of the Jubilee Year 2000. Evelyn is a person of humour, friendly and always willing to help at the church I served. Even during her years with the walker she was always willing to help as an usher at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, Northwest Calgary. Many of the parishioners liked her and would inquire if she didn't show up for Mass. Evelyn in her conversations with me always talked about her children and her siblings and her family at large. She loved all her children and worried about them day and night. She was blessed by God with a heart of gold. May Our Heavenly Father receive her soul now at His banquet in Heaven. May her soul rest in peace and may the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Bye Evelyn until we meet again in heaven, Fr. Alfredo of Jesus, Mary & Joseph. St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica, Diocese of London, Ontario...

Evelyn was a parishioner at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Calgary and volunteered in our Hospitality Ministry to be a greet/welcome parishioners to Sunday Mass. Until she could not, she was a participant at our daily morning Mass. We are saddened to learn of the passing. Her cheerful greeting and smile will be missed. God grant her the eternal rest of the faithful and we pray comfort to all who mourning her passing.
