1945 – 2016

Bev passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from cancer and its complications at the age of 71 years. She leaves behind her husband of 49 years; Leo; son, John; daughter, Cheri; son-in law, Bruce; and 2 granddaughters, Rebecca and Rachel. Bev was born in Duncan, BC where she lived and farmed with her family till her marriage to Leo brought her to Balzac, AB. She was a member of the Balzac Community for some 40 years, and has spent the last 10 or 11 years in Airdrie. Bev travelled the world and also mastered so many hobbies, Tri-Chem, knitting and her favorite, quilting. Bev loved, and was loved by so many people. She will be deeply missed. Sincere thanks to all who helped us over the last year of her Illness, Dr.Kyne and Staff, Airdrie Home Care, Peter Lougheed Hospital staff, the Tom Baker Cancer Centre,  Airdrie Fire/EMS, and the Dulcina Hospice staff. 

A Celebration of Bev’s Life will be at the Delacour Hall on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 12:00 noon, 275194 Township Road 254. Directions to the hall can be found at www.delacourhall.ca.

My heart goes out to you all. Bev was my quilting friend and I will never forget her as she taught me so much and gave me my first embroidery machine. She was so kind and thoughtful of others and generous to everybody she knew. I will miss her! Jillian Schoenfeld
