Lionel "Wayne" Tomlinson

March 6th, 2015

TOMLINSON,  L. Wayne

It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Wayne Tomlinson on Friday, March 6, 2015.

Wayne lived his 75 years to the fullest! His favorite things to do were traveling, having fun and socializing with his family and friends. Wayne loved music, was well read, intelligent, opinionated and generous to a fault. He had a fantastic sense of humor, loved to laugh and was the life of the party. He loved his family fiercely and we all loved him back just as much.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Paul, Randel (Lee), Laurel, Rigel (Roger); brother, Darrell (Pat); sisters, Cheryl and Lorraine. He was Grandfather to Charlene, Amy, Kyle and Gage and Uncle to nieces Tessa, Taryn, Mariette, Yuxiao and Kim-Chee. Also missing him will be Diana Nesdoly, his friend, former spouse and mother of his children, as well as many good friends in Canada and abroad. He will be especially missed by his very close comrades; "The Knights of the Round Table".

Just as he would want, a Celebration of Wayne's Life and a toast to the man we love will take place at Moustache Pete's, 5149 Country Hills Blvd NW, Calgary, AB on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 2-5 pm

Messages:

To All Wayne's Family: Sorry to read in the North Shore News on Friday, April 10th, that Wayne had passed on. He and Terry were long time friends who grew up together in North Van. They shared the love of music and always made contact to catch up on old times every time that Wayne was in town - often driving from Calgary in that beast of a Cadillac. Now that they are joined again, they are likely discussing all the times they asked Wayne's dad to teach them how to play the boogy woogy on the piano. Marilyn Coan, North Vancouver

As a member of the Knights, I know I speak for all of us that Wayne was an incredible man, courageous to a fault and willing to argue about anything. We loved him for that. Some of his nick names were , Captain Crunch / Crusty Wayne and of course Cadillac Wayne for his love of that beast of a car. His picture will be on our Rogues Gallery wall at Moustache Petes ( our favorite pub) and he will be knighted as the Ombudsman of our Group. All Hail to Wayne Miss you but will never forget you
