SUSNIR, Beverly Anne

Beverly Anne Susnir passed away on Tuesday,  July 21, 2015 of natural causes after enjoying a beautiful life of 85 years.

Beverly was born February 20, 1930 in Glendale, California, the daughter of Amie Irene and Thomas Buchanan Henry. She graduated from Hoover High School in Glendale and later went on to take courses at the University of Southern California. In 1954, Beverly married John Susnir and together they had five children, John, Christina, Thomas, Michael and Paul.

The family moved to Calgary in 1968. Beverly loved Calgary and everything the city had to offer. She was a devout fan of the Flames and Stampeders, and a diligent follower of all Calgary Stampede traditions and events. Every year, Beverly attended all the equestrian events at Spruce Meadows.  She loved the Canadian Rockies, and in her younger days, enjoyed camping in the mountains with her family. Beverly recently fulfilled her dream of sailing through the Panama Canal; a dream she held ever since she learned that such a journey was possible.

Beverly was always a great supporter of her family and friends, always giving of herself. Her greatest joy was sharing in the accomplishments and milestones of her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her, but she will always be held in our hearts.

Beverly is lovingly remembered by her five children; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Prayer Service will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 10827 – 24 Street SW, Calgary, AB on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 7:00 pm.

Visitation at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 9:30 am with Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 am.
