SHIPPELT, Kevin Allan

196 7 - 2021

Kevin Allan Shippelt, born December 5, 1967, died peacefully in his sleep at home, on Sunday, August 1, 2021.

Kevin was an avid hunter and fisher, willing to teach anyone who knew him the tricks of his trade. He was a jack of all trades and prided himself in the dedication and craftsmanship that went into his various projects.

Free time was spent hunting, fishing, camping and of course puttering around the green house or his flowers.

Most conversations with Kevin started with a good hunting story or a memory of his childhood with his brothers and cousins.

Kevin loved his family, especially the 9 granddaughters who blessed his life. There was nothing that the girls couldn't convince Papa Kevin to do. Kevin will be remembered for his kind heart and bigger than life personality. He always had an eager willingness to help whoever and however he could.

Kevin leaves to mourn his fiancé of 9 years, Jody Vandergiessen; children, Shon (Jade); daughter, Shay (Zak); stepson, Justin (Thorine); and 9 granddaughters, Alyson, Josie, Jayla, Myra, Octavia, Emma, Delaney, Ainslie and Heidi. Brothers Darren (Christine), Phillip (Pam), Ed (Sherry); sisters, Monica(Keith), Iris (Ross) and Karen; brother-in-law, Layne; sisters-in-law, Danita(Bill), Sheree, Jan(Sam), Hal (John); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that knew him.

Kevin was predeceased by his mom, Gladys Shippelt (Tuckwood); and his dad, Joseph Shippelt; brothers-in-law, Tom Worbeck and Ron Abercrombie; and nephew, Courtney Shippelt.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 28th at 1:00pm at the Evergreen Community Hall, followed by a luncheon.

Those who wish to Join the family at 4:00pm, we will be interning Kevins remains at the Evergreen Cemetery alongside his father.
