Dale Jordan

January 1948- January 2021

Dale was born and raised in Rimbey, Alberta. He met the love of his life, Marlene, in grade three and got married in 1968. He received his Petroleum Engineering Certification in Edmonton and worked at Amoco for 25 years, first in Drayton Valley and then in Calgary. Dale and Marlene opened a denture clinic and worked together for 15 years. In retirement Dale spent the next 15 years as a volunteer driver for the Cancer Society.

Dale and Marlene shared a love story for 53 years and he will be lovingly remembered by Marlene, their three daughters, Rochelle, Raelynne and Renaye; one son, Rysen. Also by three son-in-laws, Martin, John and Ken; one daughter-in-law, Liz; 9 grand children, Regan & Andrew, KaSara & Branden, Kaden & Molly, Randan, Keenen, Witlee & Joseph, Tayte, Waiklen and Trevan.

Dale enjoyed travelling with his family and friends. Throughout his life he had many health obstacles and then bravely lived with leukaemia for 19 years. With all these hardships Dale always showed us how to keep positive and lean on each other.

Dales active faith and lifelong love for God helped us all for his departure from this life to the next.

Messages:

Mom and I are so sorry to learn of Dale's passing. He was your soul-mate and so supportive of your hard work as one of our condo's Board Members, and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We always looked forward to sharing a smile and cheery greeting. May the love and support of your family and friends, the memories you cherish, and the sure knowledge that Dale is now tenderly and lovingly watching over you and your family from Heaven above, bring you comfort and strength.

Thinking of you again today and want to give our condolences and sympathy to the family. He will be greatly missed by you all. Jim and Reta Jordan

So sorry to hear of Dales passing. It was our pleasure to spend time with you and family when we lived in Calgary. We have good memories of those times. Our thoughts are with you as you start this new journey without a husband, father and grandfather. Dale & Faye

Dale was on of the most kind and gentle humans I ever had the privilege of knowing. He will be deeply missed by all the lives he touched along his path. Rest easy good sir.

Dear Marlene. My sincere condolences to you and your family in your loss of Dale. Love & Care.

Dear, dear Marlene & family...I've just been made aware of Dale's passing & want to extend my love & sympathy to you all. I have many "special" memories of being in your home through the years, enjoying good times together. Marlene...our journey together started when we were just girls at convention & started corresponding back and forth. I am so very deeply grateful too, for all your loving care when I needed to return home from S. America...your kindness at that time, will not be forgotten; also your faithfulness in looking after my correspondence during my years in S. America...much, much appreciated. My thoughts have gone to you all...many, many times through the latter years...so, even though Dale will be missed greatly, we are thankful that "good memories" can be kept alive. Now, still...I can hear Dale's little chuckle. Much, much Love to you all. Barbara Taylor Lee

So sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. My sincere condolences to family and friends

Please accept my condolences on Dale's passing. I first met him upon being transferred into Amoco's Calgary office some 50 years ago. He was always a very capable, diligent and hard working young man as well as being one of the most cheerful and good natured individuals I have ever worked with.

Dear Marlene, Rochelle, Raelynne, Renaye and Rysen, and other family members. You are such a large part of my wonderful AB memories. So many visits... the times Dale helped carry sleeping Jamie and Michael to the car after Wed eve study in your home... the pot luck supper for the mtg group soon after I arrived in Calgary... times you babysat ’my’ boys, and times Rysen came to play with ’my’ boys. Leaving my extra stuff with you when I started in the ministry. Too many more to enumerate. All so special. Feeling for you in the loss of Dale, so many times and ways you will miss him in the days ahead, but don’t be sad it’s over, rejoice it ever happened. Sincere condolences and much love, Carol xoxoxo

Dear Marlene and family.....our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time, along with our love and gratitude for all we have shared with you and Dale over the last several years. We have appreciated Dale's constant good cheer, our trips together, especially the one with you and Dale floating in the Dead Sea during part of one. You are a valued and essential part of our lives, bearing us up just like that water held Dale. Our love to you always.

Marlene, I was so sad to hear of Dale’s passing. We spent many years together as drivers for the Canadian Cancer Society. I know you and your family will be blessed with wonderful memories of this gentle man. Sandy Jenkins

Marlene, I saw Dale's obituary today and I'm so very sad for the great loss you all face!! I have such wonderful memories of you all being very much a part of my life when I was growing up!! I cherish the fond memories of meeting with you for decades, baby-sitting your adorable kids, enjoying many wonderful meals in your home, etc. etc. May you find comfort in knowing true care and compassion from others!! Sending lots and lots of love your way!!

We have been very much thinking of you Marlene and your family at this time.

I'm sorry to hear of Dale's passing. You will have so many good memories of times together. I have a lot of good memories of times with your family and many a good laugh - sometimes at Dale's expense, who was always a good sport. I'm thinking of you all, you've meant a lot to me in past years.

Sending family love and as you face this chapter know that there are many memories and much love from the many lives you have touched. I know my mom and I have many memories of many wonderful moments spent with Dale and Marlene and family Charlotte and Joylene Thompson

It is with heavy hearts we are sending love and sympathy to Marlene and Family. Somehow, even though we knew Dale was failing, we were not prepared for him to leave this earth. We are so thankful for the years of friendship, travel, fellowship, laughter and tears. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, for today and the lonely days ahead. With much love and sympathy, Kim & Marguerite, Leah & Graham, Krystal & Travis.
