Jake is survived and loved by his wife, Annette; children, Rebecca and Elliott; grandchildren, Cassidy and Clinton; his sister, Nellie (Gerard) Reimer; brother, John (Doris) Born; sister-in-laws, Mary Born, Betty Born; brother-in-law, Peter Petkau and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anna and Peter Born; sisters, Sarah, Anne, Helen and Mary; brothers, Peter and Isaac.
We lost a kind, caring, and devoted family man whose early years were spent travelling, camping, dog sledding, showing dogs and working with horses -all fun activities where everyone could participate. Everything changed when his grandson arrived and needed constant help. He became a secure and guiding light for him right up until he died.

I just heard of Jake’s passing last June. I am so sorry to hear this news. My deepest sympathy to Annette, Elliott and Becky. I have many good memories of Jake as will all of you. He was a very nice man.
