Brian Douglas Scott

May 29th, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian on May 29, 2019 in Calgary, Alberta.

A loving husband to Glenise (a few weeks short of 47 years of marriage), supportive father to Douglas (Cheryl) and Suzanne (David), and proud papa to Lacy, Faith, Malcolm, Liam, and Kenna; Brian hosted an immense capacity for love, and family held the highest honour in his life.

Travelling across the globe from Canada to; Europe, USA, Africa, and Russia, Brian left his mark on the oil and gas industry through the construction of; pipelines, facilities, and most importantly, positive relationships with colleagues that would follow him throughout his esteemed career.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and doctors from Unit 47 at the Foothills Medical Centre for their warmth and compassion in Brian’s final weeks.  A special thank you to Dr. Bebb and Kate for their belief in Brian’s ability to conquer cancer.  You gave him hope.

At Brian’s request, there will be no funeral service.  A Memorial Celebration with family and friends will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 2 to 5pm.  Should you wish to attend Brian’s Celebration of Life, please contact family members through whatever means available, including Brian’s e-mail, to receive additional details.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian’s honour to a charity of your choice.

Brian was a remarkable father, mentor, friend, husband, and man.  He will be dearly missed.
