Steven (Steve) Andrew Harvey Kaszas

Kathy so sorry to hear feel bad sending this so late. Our thoughts are with you and the kids.

I was so saddened to hear about Steve. He was the kindest person you could ever meet. It was always fun to visit with him, laugh and listen to stories. Like so many others, I will greatly miss him...my thoughts and prayers are with you, Kathy, and your family.

Steve was a great guy and will be missed. I know that he left a positive mark on this world and was an inspiration to me. Best wishes to Kathy, Stevie, and Zoey.

My brother-in-law Steve was the kind of man anyone would aspire to be. Always there with a smile, and never a bad word to say about anyone. Steve's spirit always lit up the room and he was a blessing to anyone who met him: treating everyone with decency and compassion. Steve was the best father to his two amazing kids and husband to his wonderful wife. He was a role model for me! His love of the great outdoors which he shared with his family, was infectious, and I always loved hearing about their exciting fishing and camping trips as well as their frequent adventures to the west coast. And then there were his amazing puns! Too funny. No one knows why God calls someone home at the most unexpected time, but I know Steve wants us to know the fishing, quadding, and camping is great there and I, for one, can't wait to see him again! It was a huge shock to hear about Steve. I worked with Steve thru AGT/Telus days. He was always smiling and always in a good mood whenever we saw each other. It's a big loss to Telus for the great worker he was and of course so much worse for his family. I'm so sorry for your sadness. I will miss the chance meetings and a chuckle.

Steve was such an awesome person to be around. It was always a great night when he and the family were around. I remember his contagious smile and frequent laughter the most. My sincerest condolences to his family.

My son and Steven’s nephew Cole are best friends so I heard a lot about “Uncle Steven” from both boys over the years. And shared a few Thanksgiving and X-mas dinners with he and Kathy and kids at his big sister’s. He was very witty and personable and a great husband, father, brother and uncle.

Steve was one of the first 2 people I met in Scouting. He was always there to help, offer advice, or just do what needed to be done. The kids, and ensuring their experience with Scouting was a positive one, was ALWAYS Steve's primary focus. I found that to be the way Steve lives his life. It was ALWAYS about others. I never knew Steve to be selfish or selfish centered in anything I ever worked with him on. Although he and I were never very close outside of Scouting, Steve will always be a part of my life, and I consider him a good friend. He was a very positive role model for all of the kids, as well as the other leaders. Teagan (my son) and I will miss him very much.

Meeting Steve through Kathy was a great privilege. Steve was always the life of the party, always cracking jokes making people laugh. I think that was his goal to make everyone laugh, he had the greatest sense of humor. He loved telling stories and had the kindest heart, he would go out of his way to help anyone and ask for nothing in return. Steve will be dearly missed by more people than he could ever imagine. Stay strong Kathy, Stevie and Zoey, Steve is with you in your mind, body and soul. RIP Steve

My thoughts are with you and your family Kathy. Steve was a great guy and although we haven't seen each other in years, I have such fond memories of Steve. He will be missed.

Steve was the best man at my wedding and my best friend back in the 80s and 90s. Like most friends, we drifted apart to focus on our families. Steve was always willing to help and he never asked anything in return except my friendship. He helped build my garage, helped my future wife and I move to Drumheller and back to Calgary and so much more. He was a big part of my life in the 80s and 90s: camping, hiking, exercising, partying (who doesn't remember the ET party which I'll never live down!). He was a friend that I could always trust and count on, even when I stole his trailer to pickup some Corvette parts in New Mexico one weekend about 10 years back! I have so many fond memories: exploding home made wine bottles in his Grovehill Rd. basement, firing our rifles like WWW III at his parent's acreage, working on our cars (Steve's Firechicken and Mustang), Del slapping Steve when he was blinded by the salad dressing (I loved when Steve told that story). I was trying to find something bad to say about Steve and the only thing I can remember was he wouldn't let me use his new electric grinder when I was working on my 67 Triumph in his garage. Still sore about that one, but heh, I have 4 grinders now bitch! Of course the endless Monty Python quotes "bring me a shrubbery" and his favorite jokes: mushrooms - funguys and show me your nuts - acting crazy and saying "blablabla" while making funny faces. I remember the day, he told me about this young lady that he met with the beautiful blue eyes and that she played soccor! I don't know which he was more impressed with? She was to become the love of his life. When I reminiscence about Steve, I can't help but smile. He was a good man and a great friend. I wish that I had the chance to thank him for his friendship.

I met Steve through friends and family on special occasions. I unfortunately only met him a handful of times, however a handful of times was all I needed to see what Steve really stood for. A family guy through and through! Immediately upon meeting Steve I could see what a great Father/Husband he was and how much he loved the kids and Kathy. Stevie and Zoey are shining examples of what a great man Steve was and now Steve lives on through his children.

Steve was always there as a friend in Scouting when you needed someone to talk to and someone to help you out. He will be missed. I know how much he loved working with the youth in 1st Airdrie when I was the Area Commissioner.

It was good to see Steve after a long time away. A good friend from AGT. Remembered always as the real Captain Canuck!
