HOYLE, Ryan Patrick
February 3, 1978 Calgary, Alberta - May 4, 2018 Calgary, Alberta
Ryan Patrick Hoyle passed away peacefully on May 4, 2018, the age of 40 after a courageous fight with gastric cancer.
Ryan was a born and raised Calgarian. He was a South kid; growing up in Bonavista Downs and McKenzie Lake. He graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School in 1995. He spent his high school summers as a Junior Forest Ranger in Grande Prairie, Sundre and Slave Lake. After graduation, he maintained his passion for the outdoors by working in Kananaskis campgrounds; as a lift tech at Norquay in winter and even had
a brief stint as a arborist. He then took the opportunity to live in Australia for six months. Upon his return, he started at SAIT and graduated as an HVAC.
Ryan had many hobbies and was very talented in everything he tried; especially snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing and most recently, beekeeping. Ryan’s Hoyle Honey is a favourite of many! He also loved his motorcycles, RCs and his OHV. Camping and family time was of utmost importance to Ryan.
Ryan will be forever loved and missed by his wife and best friend, Terra Hoyle and their cat, Zipper; his parents, Rick and Terri Hoyle; his brothers, Ian (Jen), Aaron (Shanna), Robin (Leigh); his nephews, Brett, Slate, Kolby, Jaxson, Landen, Gavin, Connor and Ryan; his nieces, Mya and Karleigh; his Grandma Buttons; his sister wife Kyla (Craig); his Mother in Law, Angie; Sister in Law, Jerianne (Glen) and Brother in Law, Corey (Mara)
and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and fur friends.
Ryan was the kindest and most selfless friend, son, brother, uncle, son in law and husband. He was always only a phone call away for anyone that needed help or a listening ear.
A special thank you to all of the doctors and nurses that supported Ryan throughout this journey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ryan may be made to the Calgary Humane Society to help carry on his love of all the furry creatures.
