Elizabeth "Betty" Merle Doerr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Doerr, beloved mother and grandmother, on Friday, September 28, 2018.

She was born on July 8,1928 in Maymont, Saskatchewan.  Betty is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna (Danny) McKay; son, Jack; daughters, Connie (Ernie) Bradley and Colleen (Doug) Wagner; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Clayton; brother, Bob; mother, Elsie; and father, Bert Robbins.

Betty was an active member of I.O.D.E and loved singing with the Drifters. She loved cooking, baking, gardening, camping, fishing and playing cards.         She just loved people!!  

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Half Century Club, 1139 Osler St, Carstairs, on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aspen Ridge Lodge or to the Chinook Winds Lodge c/o Mountain View Seniors Housing, P.O. Box 399, Didsbury, AB, T0M 0W0.

We were so very sorry to hear about the passing of your mom Betty. I always remember her smile and of course her love of baking and cooking. She loved her family and was always proud of you. We have had some wonderful times together whether in Ontario or our visits to Alberta. She always made us feel welcome in her home and we especially remember her laughter and her ability to keep us all in line. Know that she will be missed and loved forever. Linda and Dave
