Lorinda Jean Brinkhurst

May 17th, 2018

Lorinda Jean Brinkhurst, née Kronström
20 May 1959 – 17 May 2018

Fierce and beloved wife of Paul, mother of Kaleigh and Marena, daughter of Jean and Larry, sister of Russ and Eric, and aunt of Josh and Jenica. A joy and inspiration to her extended family, dear friends, and colleagues.

Lorinda was a Registered Nurse and cared for and helped people all her life. She was bold, determined, and knew how to get things done! She was always outdoors celebrating and creating beauty everywhere she lived across this wide country – from British Columbia, to Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Alberta. She was a lover of horses all her life. Her last morning was spent riding in the warm sun, overlooking the Rocky Mountains. We are so proud of her and the strength she has given us. We love her deeply.

A private memorial ceremony will take place on May 23rd in the Kananaskis foothills, where this photo was taken. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Foothills Search and Rescue Equestrian Team, at FSAR P.O. Box 549 Turner Valley, Alberta T0L 2A0.

Lorinda truly was a joy and inspiration to work with. I was a colleague of hers when she was at the Birches.
