Don passed away suddenly at home on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the age of 71 years. He is lovingly remembered by his partner of 17 years, Bonnie Jackson; sisters, Marilyn, Marjorie (Pierre), and Joanne and their families. Don was born in Windsor, Ontario. Upon graduation from the University of Toronto, he owned his own pharmacy in Lindsay, Ontario for 10 years before moving to Alberta. Don was initially an investment advisor until he realized his dream of owning a restaurant and upon retirement, worked part time as a Commissionaire. From his early days of acting at the Little Theater in Linsdsay to Gilbert and Sullivan productions at the Morpheus Theater in Calgary to singing in the St. Pious choir for 25 years, his love of singing and acting brought him much joy and many cherished friends. Don had many adventures riding his Harley Road King throughout Canada, the US and Mexico. He was an excellent cook and loved entertaining friends and family.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at Century Hall, 11 Cranarch Rd SE, Calgary, AB on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Flowers are graciously declined.
