JURGEN HEINZ BREITKREUZ

Jurgen Heinz Breitkreuz passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1:33am at Maplewood House in Abbotsford.

Jurgen is predeceased by his loving wife Adina in January of 2023 and their son, Mark suddenly in July 2022 and most recently his daughter-in-law, Tesa suddenly on March 26^th, 2024. He is also predeceased by his sister Gisela Schwan and 2 brother-in-law’s, Willi Schwan and Josef Lewand.

Jurgen is survived by his daughter Heidi Neudorf and her husband Shawn and their 3 Children, Daniel, Sarah and David. His son Andrew Breitkreuz and wife Ainslie and their children, Terrence, Mackenzee and Brantley. His grandchildren Zachariah, Hannnah, Bethany, Naomi, Rebekah, Danniella and Alisha. He is also survived by his sisters Adelheid Lewand, Monica Breitkreuz and her husband Don, and his brother Erich Breitkreuz and his wife Ellen. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, & especially missed by his close friends and extended family.

Jurgen was born on October 19^th, 1945, in Prullsbirkig, Bavaria. His parents were Daniel and Herta Breitkreuz. He was 4^th born after 3 older sisters and after the war. His younger brother Erich was born here in Saskatchewan. Dad’s was 3 ½ years old when their family immigrated from Germany in spring of 1949.

As a family we would like to thank all the workers who took care of our Dad / Opa in the last few months at Maplewood House.

The entire Breitkreuz family would like to thank for your calls and prayers during this time as we all mourn Jurgen’s passing. The Viewing will take place on Monday May 6^th, 2024, between 4pm – 6pm at Alternative Funeral Services (3070-275A Street, Aldergrove, BC, V4W 3L4). We will be having a Celebration of Life Service for Jurgen on May 10^th, 2024, at 11am at Mill Lake Church (33218 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC, V2S 1K5) with a luncheon to follow for a time of remembrance and sharing.
