Victor Ross Powell

December 22nd, 2023

Victor (Vic), age 77 years, passed into the presence of his Lord on December 22, 2023 after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer.  In the days and hours leading up to his passing he was surrounded by his family and close friends.

He will be lovingly remembered and missed immensely by his wife Marcilla of 47 years.  His son, John (Jennifer) and daughter, Christine. His grandchildren, Jaydon, Eathan, Declan, Kimberlee, and Morgan.  His siblings, John (Anne), Jim, and Shirley (Carlos), his many nieces and nephews along with many other friends and family.

Victor was born in Victoria, BC to Ross and Mary Powell where he lived before moving to Burnaby BC where he attended BCIT and later resided in Port Moody for more than 47 years.  Victor will always be remembered as the man who could fix anything and the countless hours he devoted to being the handyman at his church.  Victor’s quiet but determined nature will always be remembered.

The family extends heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the medical staff at Royal Columbian Hospital for their generous care and attention they gave to Victor during his four-month hospital stay.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Daybreak Point Bible Camp Dining Hall Project in Victor’s name, a place that Victor spent many weekends enjoying and serving at. Donate Here

A celebration of life service will be held in the coming weeks.  For detailed information about the service please email the family at viccanfixanything@gmail.com.
