Please accept my deepest condolences, Harry was a friend and mentor. He helped young me at the UBC computing center. Best of all we shared many night shifts, I loved when the shift was almost done and we would go for a well earned hearty UBC breakfast of eggs toast, hash browns and coffee. It was the best. Often I would drive Harry home in my crappy little red ‘76 Honda Civic I had bought for $2,500, we would chat and laugh. Harry was kind an non judgmental, I enjoyed his company. As a twenty something, I yapped and he just listened. Yes I did yap a lot back then. I loved his guidance and company. I miss miss him dearly. Thank you and Rest In Peace, my guide and mentor. Best of all Harry never judged me, I miss him. Sadiq Somjee

I was saddened to read this. I didn't work directly with Harry but he was always such a gentleman to deal with when we had interaction at the UBC Computing Centre.

Harry was one of the "good guys" that made working at UBC's Computing Centre so much fun for so many years. I will miss you Harry!

My most sincere condolences to Harry's Family. I had the pleasure of working with Harry for more than 25 years. He will be greatly missed.

P.S. Please give my Dad a hug from me! xoxoxox

Uncle Hank helped Paul & I start our life together out in BC. He let me move in with him while I got things settled. Then Paul & I got an apartment of our own (next door to his). We had some incredible times and created fantastic memories. You were there for me when I needed someone but didn't want to talk, you always knew the right thing to do or to just leave me alone. You were there for us when I had my Kidney Transplant (every day by bus all the way to the hospital to visit me!), when I graduated top of my class at VCC, when Paul & I had Adriahna & Maitias and so many more fantastic occasions. Although we moved back to Winnipeg a few years ago, you have never left our minds and our hearts. You were very important to the kids also - they have great memories of park visits, baseball games, dinners out with you and your crazy cat... :o) You will be so greatly missed, it's hard to express. Stacey, Kim, Patrick, Christine & Linda you are in our hearts during this difficult time. We send all of our love as well as hugs and kisses to you all. xoxo Much love, Missy, Paul, Adriahna & Maitias

My sympathy to the family. In this life you don't find better people than Harry. Harry was one of the A-team at UBC. I am lost for words. I can still see Harry walking around in his white lab coat. We miss you Harry. -Dennis O'Reilly

My sincere condolences to Harry's family and friends. He was a really good guy to work with. My kids knew him as Mr. Graham, the Pikachu guy. He will be greatly missed.

Very saddened by the news of Harry's passing. I worked many years with Harry at UBC. Worked many a midnite shift with him and hit a few restaurants with him at 4 in the morning. We were both from Winnipeg which gave us a bond living on the West Coast. Harry was a great guy. Thank God for FaceBook cuz it allowed me to catch up with him every once in a while the last few years. He will be missed. Craig Smith
