Teressa Fay McNulty

January 13th, 2024

McNulty, Teressa Fay born September 1, 1929, passed away on January 13, 2024 at the age of 94.

Fay is survived by her three daughters, Debbie Christensen; Dena (Det) Gauer; Kendra Wild; her grandchildren Angela; James (Julia); Cody; Louis (Jessica); Darian (Trav); Griffin (Mariia); Devery (Bobby); as well as her great grandchildren Jonas, Jasmin and Myka. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas James (Jim) McNulty and infant grandson Shamus Wild.

Fay was delivered by her oldest sister, Della, on the farm near Creelman. SK. Fay grew up as the youngest of three sisters and three brothers. As a young girl, she especially loved going to dances in the Creelman area with her sister Ada and brother Mel. On May 19, 1948 she married Jim and remained happily married until Jim’s passing in 1994.

Fay was an early adopter of healthy living and fitness and frequently exercised to Ed Allen or was on her bicycle touring around Lumsden with her best friend Bernice. Later on in life, Fay and Bernice took over running the café in the Lumsden Hotel. Jim was enlisted as chief dishwasher and maintenance man. The hours were long and the work hard, but this was such a happy and fun venture and Fay was in her element baking and selling out her variety of pies each day.

Fay will be remembered for her faith, her wonderful sense of humor, her kindness, and especially her love for her family. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone at Cherished Hearts and William Booth who provided care over the last several years. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Messages:

My condolences to Fay's family. I remember Fay & Bernice (best friends) together, always fun. Fay was always smiling and friendly. What great memories you will all have.

So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed getting to know Fay when she and my Mom both lived at Cherished Hearts. Your family is in my prayers.

We are sorry to hear of Fay’s passing. I remember as a youth tagging along with Fay and my Mom Bernice on many fun excursions. From bike riding, to ball games to berry picking, everything was always entertaining with those two. Fay was a kind witty and fun person and a very loyal friend. We remember her with fondness.
