Messages:

Aunt Iona always remembered our birthdays; it was her way of letting us know that she was thinking about us and wishing us good health and happiness. Even at the age of 94 she made every effort to contact those she loved on special occassions. She especially enjoyed communicating by phone or by letter with her friends and family. Aunt Iona loved to celebrate our accomplishments as we grew up and often cooked for us or took us out for lovely dinners. Aunt Iona was a fountain of information, and could fill you in on any topic, as she kept up to date on all that was happenning in the world. She was very hard working and independent, endeavoring to do things on her own. Aunt Iona we remember many good times, when you had to be a good sport to put up with all the Hartwell "shinanigans" you were always an enthusiastic participant in family gatherings. We have many fond memories!
