Edna passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the age of 84 years.
Edna is lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Robert Stanley Smithies; their children, Joe (Karen), Roberta (Bill), Donna (Michael) and Laura (Howard); five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Miss Me but Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
and the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room

Miss me a little, but not too long

My deepest condolences to you Uncle Bob, and, my cousins, love and, miss Aunt Edna. I am glad we were able to see each other fairly regularly. RIP Aunt Edna.
I am sending my deepest sympathies to the family on the loss of a wonderful woman. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. The support that was always offered in times need, by both my Aunt and Uncle, will remain a reminder of how important family is. Those ties that bind are always at the forefront and shall never be forgotten. They remain strong both in life and after leaving this world. Family is timeless just as is love. Love will always remain as will the many memories that we shared through out the years. May she Rest In Peace.

We loved Aunt Edna and so grateful for the Smithies family, happy we did get to visit with her although not often we know what a wonderful woman, wife, mother etc she was and will be missed tremendously. Very nice poem ! Rest In Peace kind soul. Condolences to all the family.
