With broken hearts, the family of Harrison Morton Caufield Jr sadly announce that he passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2, 2022 in Sylvan Lake at the age of 82 years. Harrison was known and loved by so many colleagues, neighbors, teammates, friends, church members and especially by his adoring wife and the huge family they love so much.
Harrison was born and raised in Lomond, Alberta and at the age of 15, moved to Calgary to attend school. There he found many lifelong friends and a love of sports. It was there he also met his true love and eternal companion, Judith, to whom he has been married for almost 65 years. Together they raised 4 adoring children and were instrumental in the lives of 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Harrison’s work opportunities moved them to Edmonton and then Sylvan Lake where they continue to have many dear friends. Harrison was a man of great faith and loved serving in the community and his church.
He will be sadly missed by his precious companion, Judith; and their children, Dennis, Jason (Bethann), Clayton (Cheryl); his loving sister, Ruth and; all of his extended family. He is pre-deceased by his father, Harrison Morton Caufield Sr; his mother, Ruby; his sister, Joyce (Don); and his only daughter, Carolyn whom he has missed for so many years. Her children, Randi (Matt), Andrew (Vanessa), Jordan (Kara) and Teresa (Alex) and their families will miss their grampa who helped raise them.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery (1605, 100 Street SE Calgary, AB). A Memorial Service honoring Harrison will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 AT 11:00 am at the Kentwood Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (8 Keast Way Red Deer, AB).

I am so grateful to have been able to attend the beautiful graveside service today. I hold a very special place in my ❤️ for my childhood memories with the Caufield family. Many days and giggle filled nights were spent in your home with Carolyn and Ruby. I was always made to feel welcome. I am forever blessed.
Harry & I were close like brothers as we grew up. As adults we continued our friendship by phone. Luckily he & Judy came to visit me in the hospital a few years ago. I will miss the conversations & laughter we shared. Hopefully we will meet again in Paradise. Rest In Peace Harry,
My sincerest sympathy goes out to all of Harrison‘s family. Although because of the age difference between us he and I were never personal friends, I knew his family very well and his wonderful mother, Ruby Caufield, taught me in three grades and was one of my very favourite teachers. Over the years I followed Harrison‘s career, and while we never spent time together I felt I knew him through stories told by his mother and his sister Ruth. This will be a sad time for the family but as a man of faith the best is yet ahead for Harrison. Marvin Maronda of Lomond Alberta
