Wayne McMillan, of Airdrie, AB, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the age of 76 years. 

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marlatt, of 49 years; and his sister, Carol Munro (Gary) of Langdon, AB; as well as extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Gertrude McMillan, brothers, Howard McMillan, Clifford McMillan, Mervyn McMillan, Don McMillan; his sister, Marlene Harmon; and Aunt, Norena Radu. 

He had many jobs throughout his life from working on farms to the oilfield patch to driving cattle/grain and Gravel trucks to highway construction to courier. He loved to socialize, especially at the Airdrie Legion and other places in town. He could always make people feel at home and keep them laughing with his jokes and one-liners. Thank you to all our friends at the Airdrie Legion and staff at the Dulcina Hospice and the Peter Lougheed Hospital for their special care of Wayne in his final days.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that you donate to the Cancer Society of Canada in Wayne’s name.

A Graveside Service will be held in Gainsborough, SK at a later date.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Airdrie Legion 132 – 1st Avenue, NE, Airdrie, AB on September 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
