Patricia (“Theresa”) Edna McFawn (nee Allport) passed suddenly on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. She was born on March 22, 1936 in Minto, New Brunswick. She began her life journey in Fredericton, New Brunswick and then moved to Alberta in 1969, first to Edmonton and then to Calgary.
She was an amazing, strong and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She had a long and successful career as a legal assistant both in Fredericton and Edmonton.
She is survived by three daughters, Cathryn Anne McFawn of Edmonton, Wendy Nora McFawn and Charlene Alyson Poudrier-Smith (David) both of Calgary; brothers, William (Albertine) and Richard (Nancy) Allport of Fredericton; sisters, Violet McFawn (William) of Fredericton, Helen Lefebvre (Phillip) of Rimbey, Alberta, and Deborah Allport (Réjean Arseneau) of Ottawa,Ontario. She was a loving grandmother to Nicholas, Tyler, Erica, Devon, Dillin, Kelly,Kassidy, Jesse, Jordan, Kayla, and Ryan as well as a great-grandmother to Luke and a dear Aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Charles Archibald; son, Timothy Charles; her brother, Charles Edward Allport; and her parents, Charles and Gwendoline (Townsend) Allport.
At her request a Private Family Celebration with take place in Calgary and a Memorial Service will be held in Fredericton at a later date. Details of this service will be announced once arrangements have been completed.
Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of the Rocky View Hospital for their care and compassion throughout her stay.
For those who wish, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to the donor’s local Humane Society.

To Theresa's Family: We were shocked and saddened to hear of Theresa's passing. We have many happy memories of when we all moved to Silverwood and were next door neighbours. Condolences to the family of Theresa from the F.H.S. Class of 1954. Bill and I are sorry we cannot be with you today for the memorial service in Fredericton as we have a similar memorial for a dear friend at the same time.
