BARRY GORDON BOOTHMAN

Feb. 10, 1953 – Dec. 5,2015

With great sadness Barry’s family announces his peaceful passing at the Rocky View Hospital in Calgary after a long struggle with alcoholism. He is survived by daughter, Jenna (Sean) Meehan, grand-daughter, Aurora, and is lovingly missed by sisters, Louella (Wally) Komadina, Wainwright, AB and Bonnie (Daniel) Cameron, Moncton, NB as well as by his very special friend and cousin, Lorraine Boothman, Calgary, AB, who was with him when he passed. Barry also leaves to mourn nephews Mark (Georgette) Komadina and Carey (Tracey) Komadina, niece Catherine (Russ Skulmoski) Komadina, great nephews Brent (Alexa) and Mason, and great nieces Sarah (Cody Dunbar) and Kennedy.

Barry had a special place in his heart for his Aunt Dorothy Boothman and for great niece Sarah with whom he recently created a special bond. An accomplished musician, charmer, salesman extraordinaire, a special brother, we will miss him. In keeping with Barry’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service.

If desired, donations to a charity of choice may be made. No flowers please.

Messages:

Our deepest sympathy over the passing of Barry. Our thoughts are with you, much love Bob, Kathy, Margaret, Jack, Michael, Rosemary

My good friend Barry who did not return my calls, the man you were did not want to pass on concerns of your serious illness. You and I talked on several occasions both personal and business and I still say Barry built a business of respect by personnel and customers , closed by a national company, that alone would deter ten strong men, but again my friend you carried on. God Bless Jenna, I know you were always deep in your dads heart. Richard, Avis Bonnell

Hello, I am sadened to hear of Berry's passing. I used to work at the apartment building where he lived. He was always such a kind and respectful man. My deepest sympathy for your family. Matthew Barrett
