Andrew John Paulduro

Andy Paulduro passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in Olds, Alberta, at the age of 78 years.  Andy had been a resident of Olds for the past year.

 

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Sophia Paulduro.

 

Andy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary, and daughters Louise (Patrick) Collins and Audrey Paulduro.

 

Andy was born in Park Court, Alberta, on March 29, 1933.

 

Growing up, Andy was just as interested in helping his mother in the kitchen as he was helping his father outside with the chores.  He pursued a variety of interests including working on the railroad for CN and climbing power poles for Farm Electric.

 

Andy married Mary Bura on July 7, 1961. Together they farmed, raised their daughters, and otherwise kept active in the Park Court community. Farming eventually gave way to other pursuits such as construction, market gardening and catering.

 

In 1996, Andy and Mary moved to Evansburg where they were active members of the Chamber of Commerce and other organizations.  In 2010, Andy, along with his wife, was bestowed with the honour of Citizen of the Year.

A Memorial Service was held at the Evansburg Legion Hall, Evansburg, Alberta on Saturday, February 4, 2012.
