Messages:

I didn't know Marvin well. He was a good friend of my oldest brother, Billy Short. We lost Billy in 82 and 2 more siblings since then. I remember seeing Marvin & Lance at the funerals and wondered why they would take the time for people they barely knew & who they hadn't seen in years, but it was when I attended Marvin's celebration of life that I learned what a great person he was. Compassionate, thoughtful & obviously loved by many. I am glad that I decided to take the time to pay my respects, to someone I barely knew, but who now, I wish I had known better. He will be missed. My condolences to all his family & friends.

I was saddened to hear of Marvin's passing. I worked with him briefly in the lab at Shaw Pipe. He was always curious to know the "why" of things, enjoyed being challenged and often challenged others by asking "why?" I enjoyed working with him. To his family and friends, my deepest sympathies. Keep the good memories close to get through this dark time. RIP, Marvin. 57 years is not enough. Karen.
