Ronald Roy Helmer

It is with deep sadness that we announce
the passing of Ronald (Ron) Helmer on Saturday, January 21, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years
Sandy, son Daryl (Anita), daughter Renee and 2 grandchildren Jordanne and
Courtney. He is survived by 4 sisters, 2 brothers and predeceased by 1
brother.
He will be remembered by his
contribution to minor hockey and fastball in SW Calgary for 25 years. Ron
enjoyed all sports and his greatest joy was watching events that his children
were involved in. As he transitioned
into retirement his greatest delight came with spending time with his youngest
grandchild Courtney.
Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 1009 East Lake Blvd. NE,
Airdrie, Alberta on Friday, January 27 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made
to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW,
Calgary, Alberta T3B 6A8.
