Janet McLaren Fairbrother

Janet McLaren Fairbrother, born Nov. 25, 1916 passed away peacefully at the Agape Hospice on Sat. March 31, 2012 at the age of 95. Janet is survived by her loving family, daughter; Marilyn Hummel Bookless and her companion Tom Petrunia and family of Red Deer, granddaughter; Joleen (Greg) Mooney of Halifax, N.S., grandson; Brad (Linsay) Hummel of Red Deer her precious great grandchildren; Oriana, Amber and Chase Mooney of Halifax, N.S. and Daylan Hummel of Red Deer who called her G.G. Her extended family; Cal (Diana) Hummel and Family, Laureen (Jason) Dionne and Family, Kerra (John) Baradoy and family, Layne (Jana) Hummel and family, Darren (Karen) Hummel as well as nieces, nephews and dear friends. Janet was predeceased by her loving husband; Lloyd, her dear son;  Garth, son in Laws; Bill Hummel and Jack Bookless, her sister; Muriel Young and dear childhood friend; Marg Young. Mom was a very special lady, a terrific Mom, grandma and great-grandma. She loved and cherished all her family. Mom loved to go camping and did so until the young age of 93. We all have many memories of fun times spent with mom and dad at their cabin at Caroline camping and especially enjoying her wonderful cooking and delicious baking. We all miss you GG. You are gone but never to be forgotten. The family would like to thank the Dr.’s, nurses and staff of the ER and Unit 94 of the Rockyview Hospital and the Agape Hospice for the care and compassion shown to mom and family. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – Day Saints, 7017 California Blvd. NE, On Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Janet’s memory may be made to the Rockyview Hospital, Unit 94 C/O Calgary Health Trust, 800 -  11012 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary, AB T2J 6A5 or Agape Hospice, 1302 – 8th Ave. NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1B8.
