Philip Morgan Peters Jr.

March 13th, 2015

Philip Morgan Peters Jr. was born in 1996 in Chilliwack, BC at 10:37pm on a Sunday night. Morgan is survived by father: Phillip Morgan Peters, mother: Sarah (Rhonda) Linklater Peters and sister: Shawna Dionne Peters, many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and girlfriend Jena Sherron.  He came into this world, a beautiful baby with big bright brown eyes, and a smile that lit any room.

Growing up Morgan was always so kind and polite to all, and would not leave without saying what meant the most to him... "I love you". Sports were always a large part of his life from childhood into his teen years. It was plain to see that he loved hockey. To help the Hockey community, Morgan refereed for two years. Once he entered high school, he had the pleasure of being a part of the Sardis Secondary Hockey Academy. Not only did Morgan strive in hockey, growing up he also played baseball, and basketball. Morgan attended Mount Slesse Middle School where he discovered a natural talent and adoration: music. He began with the clarinet and soon after, succeeded to the bass clarinet. Not only did Morgan discover these talents, he also created lifelong friendships that he held close to his heart. Throughout his three years at Sardis Secondary he had the opportunity of being a part of Drumline where he further explored his ambitions for music by playing the cymbals. He always felt the need to give back to the community. So, during his grade 12 year, he decided to volunteer at the Alzheimer's Committee to complete his work experience. Morgan was highly intelligent, throughout all his schooling he received several different awards, and always maintained on the honor roll. Morgan always enjoyed a challenge. Math and physics were his favorite subjects where he excelled greatly. He was full of determination and focus, and always finished his work regardless of his busy schedule. We all know Morgan, and we all know that he would not ever fail to lose or misplace his car keys. How about that time he locked his keys in the car while running? Upon his senior year in drumline, Morgan met Jena Sherron. A friendship that soon blossomed into a loving and caring relationship. Their love for each other was very strong. The only thing that Morgan loved more than Jena was food. He was always open to trying something new and different. A few of his favorites were fish, eggs, nachos and anything sweet. For three consecutive summers, Morgan worked at Cone Heads in Cultus Lake.

After his graduation in 2014, Morgan worked for Joiner's Corn seasonally. Morgan successfully finished his Line Man program in Kamloops with his friends Brawnson, and Brookland Pyne and soon planned to find work. There was always adventure in Morgan. From the age of four months old he was already camping, and then after began fishing at the age of two. He loved to snowboard, camp, fish, mushroom pick, hike, and enjoy nature’s beauty. Morgan was unique in countless ways. He was always so calm, grounded, collected, wise and smart. It is incredibly hard to see you go so soon.

We are all blessed for having known such a kind, caring, loving, polite, sweet, empathetic soul thanks to the guidance from Rhonda, Phil and Shawna Peters. Morgan will forever be missed but never be forgotten; in our hearts is where he will remain. Rest in paradise Morgan Peters, our beloved son, little brother, cousin, nephew, friend and love.
