Nadine Tataryn was locally grown in Kelowna, BC where she graduated from the Nursing Program at Okanagan College in 1994. Working as a casual nurse in the many different specialties of Kelowna General Hospital, she soon realized the passion she had for working in the Palliative Care Unit. There she spent time not only caring for the patients in need, but also caring for their families.
Nadine realized that it was an honour to be a part of this last transition of someone’s life, and it became such a meaningful experience that it has given her a passion to assist the loved ones left behind after death has occurred.
After personally witnessing the unique challenges that families face in this time of grief, Nadine was compelled to make a career change and join a funeral home that had the ability to serve families with true compassion and authenticity. Qualities that she holds herself, with the utmost of importance. She feels very lucky to have found this home in the Lake Country community. Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services® gave Nadine the opportunity to become their Administrator and to assist them in serving this wonderful community. She is able to provide service in both the English and German languages; currently working on French and American Sign Language.
Nadine has three wonderful daughters who inspire her and remind her that life is worth living to the fullest each, and every day… She volunteers for Canadian Blood Services and also coaches Artistic Gymnastics & Acrobatics in Lake Country.
