Merrill Owen Pederson

Merrill Owen Pederson was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia on February 13^th and passed away in the evening of March 8th. He was a very loving, caring, fun man who has given us so many memories that we will cherish.

Wendy, Randy (Patti),his grandchildren Brody (Mim), Tanner (Moa), Meaghann (Mikey)and Chase were so lucky to have had him in their lives. And great granddaughters Jade and Bella shared fun times with him. We will make sure the new great grandchild Freya knows about the GG she never met. Many will remember him as Mr Christie where he worked for 43 years and had enjoyed retirement with mom for 25 years in Chilliwack. They had a great group of friends and a huge extended family that they enjoyed spending time with.

Dad missed mom so much and we know she has greeted him with the biggest hug and a glass of red wine. Missing you so much already dad but we know you will always continue to watch over us all, you just have a different view now with mom.

He Only Takes the Best

God saw that he was getting tired,

A cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around him

And whispered, “Come with Me.”

With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer,

And saw him fade away.

Although we loved him dearly,

We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes “the best”
