Barbara May Gradwell

December 4th, 2022

Barbara, you had a formidable memory and vast knowledge. Your ideal professional life was creatively and energetically helping others. You loved life hacks, DIY, were the first to try anything new and share your experiences with us. Barbara, you were lots of fun. You rocked in this world!

Barbara passed away at 71, peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She leaves many friends and family members who appreciated her humour and outgoing personality. She will be especially missed by her sister Maureen (Rick) and brother Chris (Danielle) her loving son Simon (Fiona) and grandchildren: Connor, Aiden, Owen and Cadence.

I will miss my dear friend Sincere condolences to her family

Maureen , Cris and families, we were deeply sorry to learn of Barb's passing. I met Barb through Maureen, she was a lovely care free spirit, who loved life. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Take comfort in knowing that 9xzfdsBarbara is no longer suffering and is finally free of pain. RIP Barbara.

I was named after Barbara (my middle name) and I am her niece. We had a lot of fun but we also butted heads many times too. Two strong and confident personalities and I used to say it is because we share the same name. Having such a cool aunt growing up was great. Because Barb was ahead of everyone in trying out new things or new music she was our link to cool things. No matter what look Barbara wanted to pull off she did so with ease. Like in the 1980’s when the Star Trek movie came out and Barb shaved her head like that Vulcan woman in the movie. She looked great and what guts Barb had to shave her head! Barbara was so unique there truly is no other person like her. I will miss her so much and it sucks she is not with us any longer. Love you Aunt Barb.

We were a couple for four years during our teens, unheard of. Not only a couple but best friends and stayed friends even after we broke up. So many beautiful memories. The first tune I ever wrote was dedicated to her when I was 15 or 16. I'm heart broken but still feel great feelings for her.

I met Barbara over a year ago, a heart warming soul if I ever met one. In a short time she taught me the meaning of respect for all. She will be missed indeed!
