Carolyn Annette Althaus

It is with great sadness we announce that Carolyn Annette Althaus lost her 5 year battle with Kidney Cancer, at the young age of 60. On July 25 with family by her side she passed peacefully. She was born in New Westminster, BC in 1959. Carolyn is predeceased by parents Joe and Joan Kubek. She is greatly missed by her siblings Sherry (Dale) Hirschkorn and brother David (Andrea) Kubek. She is survived by her Loving husband Daniel Althaus, Children Angel (Leo) Issel, Jayson (Julie) Althaus, Faye Phillips and Megan Althaus (Bryan Bennett); Grandchildren Eleanor, Faith, Grace, Jayden, Hayley, Kobi, Kaitlyn, and Cameron. And many other family and friends who loved her dearly.
Carolyn loved her family very much and always wanted to spend time with us. She was always the first person to help someone in need, without a question asked she was there, it didn’t matter the time of day. She had a great love for music and animals especially ones who needed a little more love and care. Carolyn will be greatly missed by many friends and family. To Carolyn everyone was Family! The family would like to thank the staff at Langley Hospice for their care and support in the last weeks. As well as Dr. Ko who assisted and led her treatment at Abbotsford Cancer Centre.

Carol loved to help people and gave her time and love freely. She was always willing to help those in need and had many 'extended' family members. As our friendship spanned over 50 yrs, we shared many adventures & milestones, laughter & tears, with a lot of love - knowing we were always there for each other. I will miss her very much.
