Broomfield, Brian passed away at Kelowna General Hospital, Kelowna, B.C. Thursday April 29th, 2021. Brian Don Broomfield age 75 years. Brian is survived by his wife Aline, brothers Ian of Coquitlam, BC, Robert of Burnaby, BC; daughter Tammy-Lee of New Westminster, BC and son Don of Courtenay, BC; stepsons David (Lorna) of Abbotsford, BC and Jean-Marc (Melissa) of Sherwood Park, AB; granddaughters Jennifer, Quintayna and grandsons Reno and Ashley as well as many cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by two brothers Bruce and Colin.
Brian was a long-haul truck driver for many years. He liked fishing, hunting, and gardening. His backyard was a welcome place for countless friends to drop by.
My deepest condolences to Boomer's family, especially his wife, Aline. I will always remember Boomer fondly for his welcoming smile and for taking me under his and Richard's wing when first I tried bridge salmon fishing and thinking of me when he made his batches of wine. It was very much a comfort and a blessing to have a place amongst them. Though he could be ornery at times, he never compromised on having a generous heart. Happy fishing Boomer, wherever you are!
