Russell Alexander Adair

November 22nd, 2012

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Russell Alexander Adair on November 22, 2012 in Vernon, BC at 80 years of age.

Russell was born in Harris, SK to Cora and Russell Adair. He enjoyed his hometown of Harris, SK and was proud to serve on many councils over his many years in the area. Throughout his career, he was a cattle farmer, school bus driver, and tree spacer. Russell always had the pleasure of having "man's best friend" (dog) by his side. He was a long time avid curler, a collector and a fantastic "Mr. Fix It". In his older years, Russell mastered card games, puzzles, and gardening.

He truly loved his family, most of all his devoted wife Frances who predeceased him in 2007. Russell was a wonderful father to Bruce (Lori) and Cathy (John), grandfather to Allan and Rick, and great-grandfather to Zayn, Kaia and Isabella.

He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his family and friends.

Memorial Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Glad Tidings Church (2570 Pleasant Valley Road, Armstrong, BC).

Expressions of sympathy are welcome below.

Messages:

Bruce and Cathy, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.

Larry & I have curled with Russell for the past few years. We always enjoyed visiting with him and hearing the curling stories from the 'old' Saskatchewan days. We will miss him at the curling club. Our sincere condolences to all his family.
