Mabel Murial Pominville

The family of Mabel Murial Pominville sadly announce her passing on September 30, 2022 at Wascana Grace Hospice, Regina, SK.

Mabel was born on March 27, 1932 in Viscount, SK. She was the youngest child of Robert and Mary Jane Colhoun. After high school Mabel attended Teachers’ College in Saskatoon, SK and began her career in one room schools in rural Saskatchewan. Mabel moved to Regina in 1953 and in February 1955 she married Max Pominville. They had 2 sons Roy and Jim. Mabel taught elementary school in Regina for many years. She was very proud of being a teacher and enjoyed the fact that she had been able to teach multiple generations of Regina families. In her retirement years Mabel spent a great deal of time with her grandchildren. She loved being a grandmother.

Mabel will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Max; sons Roy (Susan) and Jim (Leslie); grandchildren Lee, Kale (Dori), Orr (Jillian), Ben (Sydney) and Scot (Kelsey); great-grandchildren Sebastian, Henri and Beau. Mabel was predeceased by her parents, siblings and daughter-in-law Joanne.

There will be no service per Mabel’s request. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Regina Wascana Grace Hospice.
