Robert Michael Mathew Gieni

June 11th, 2022

Robert Michael Mathew Gieni, late of Regina, SK passed away on June 11, 2022 at the age of 65. Robert was born on September 16, 1956 in the town of Assiniboia, SK and lived his life in Regina.

He was predeceased by his father John Gieni; his mother Loretta Gieni; and his brother Darrell Gieni. Rob will be lovingly remembered by his son Colton; his daughter Haley (Matthew) and her children Andie and Nora; and his sisters Judy (Dave) and Lisa.

Despite a heart-breaking diagnosis of dementia and aphasia at a young age, Rob always remained positive and continued to revolve his life around his kids. Rob was a great father, brother and son who will always be remembered for his love of golf and his devotion to his son and daughter.

Although Rob is physically gone, we know he will take good care of us from where he is now. It's time to finally rest, Dad. I hope the golf courses are even better up there.

Messages:

Hayley and Colten, remember your Dad with a smile. Right now it’s probably hard to smile but the smiles return and the memories become very precious. Darlene and Ross

Judy, Dave and family! We just heard the news. We are so very sorry to hear about Robbie! May he Rest In Peace! Sending our love and prayers Cousin Carol and Cousin Wray

Dear Dave, Judy and families, we always had fun with Rob when he visited with your family. Rob suffered with a disease early in his life and that took him far too soon. Our hearts ache with you in sorrow. May he rest in peace on a Heavenly Golf Course.

My deepest condolences. I think your message about “being out there golfing” is such a great way to remember Rob. I will always remember Rob with a smile on his face.

Our heartfelt condolences to Rob’s family on his recent passing. Rob was a lifelong friend and birth year buddy and with both coming from small town Sask - Ormiston- he and I enjoyed many occasions together that provides memories I’ll hold dear forever. Rob’s goodness showed in all he did as a person, an athlete, a student, a worker, you name it. The miles between us limited our visits but when we could get together the visits were genuine and the visits and laughter will be missed greatly. Rest In Peace my friend.
