Deanna Beston

April 5th, 2022

It is with great sadness we share the sudden passing of beloved wife, mother and grandmother Deanna Marie Beston on April 5, 2022 after fighting a short but courageous battle with COVID-19. Deanna is survived by her loving husband Randy; son Jared (Jocelyn) and grandson Jaxyn; daughter Jenna; and her mother Anne Syhlonynk.

Deanna was best known as Dee or DeeDee to all who knew her. She was loved and will be missed by her extended family sisters-in-law Ruth, Linda (Gerard) and Sandra; brothers-in-law Jim (Florence) and Lenny (April); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Deanna was predeceased by her father John; mother-in-law Delphine and father-in-law Leonard.

Deanna was born on December 18, 1964, the only child of Anne and John Syhlonynk. She grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan where she met the love of her life Randy. Randy was working construction at the time and would stop in for breakfast at Buddy's Steakhouse where Dee was working and the rest is history. They welcomed their son Jared in 1990 and daughter Jenna in 1996. Deanna and Randy married on October 12, 2002.

Dee was a huge lover of animals and had her own dog grooming business in Regina for a number of years before moving to Indian Head, Saskatchewan with her family in 2021. She enjoyed camping with her family, attending concerts and shows, playing bingo on Saturdays and trying her luck at the casino with daughter Jenna by her side. She was kind and generous and always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. She loved and adored her children and her only grandson Jaxyn. She devoted her life to her family. Dee will be remembered and her spirit lives on through our memories and prayers.

The family are grateful for the care and kindness from the physicians, nurses and care providers at Regina General Hospital, Medical Intensive Care Unit.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. in Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services, 1265 Scarth Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. Memorial Service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Regina Humane Society in Deanna's name are greatly appreciated.

Messages:

I am so sorry for the family's loss. I have known Deanna since the late 1970's or the early 1980's as just pen pals. This developed into a lasting friendship. I was honored to have met her in person and she's an amazing lady. My heart goes out to her family. We will meet again some day.

In the Arms of an Angel Though we don’t understand why, God has taken you home. He has a bigger plan than we could ever imagined for her. With the soft breeze of the wind, we know that you are still with us. The gift that you left us will become more apparent over time. We love and miss you so much Dee Dee. You are always in our hearts.

My deepest sympathy goes out to my dearest sister Anne for the loss of her daughter Dee Dee. Anne and I have shared many happy moments raising Dee Dee, Marilyn, Vincent and David. The bond that we shared was very strong in our hearts. The memories that we had with you Dee Dee will live on forever. Was so lovely talking to you just before you got ill not knowing what the future held for us. It is sad but true. I will always miss you. You were always so happy with a bubbly nature. I love you dearly, a beautiful Angel in heaven to watch over us until we meet again.

She was a beautiful soul. May she be watching over you all. She will be missed. Love from family in calgary.

Randy, Jared, Jocelyn and little Jaxon. We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Deanna. Although we never met her, she sounds like she was a wonderful person who deeply loved her family and friends. As a lover of animals, it shows that she had a big heart. Our condolences to you all, our hearts go out to you at this very difficult time.

Heart felt condolences to you and your family Cuzz.

I hope you can hear me, Dee Dee, and that it is not too late to share with you how I will always remember you with such fondness. You were my dear "city cousin" whom I looked forward with anticipation to visit every summer. We were so inseparable, raucous and silly, as teenage girls typically are. We must have driven our moms crazy. lol We spent every day at the exhibition year after year, blowing all the small change that we had worked so hard to save all winter. Now that you have left us, the sun will shine a little dimmer. But whenever the fair comes to town, I shall smile, and pause to remember you again as the joyful teenage girl that you were - so carefree and full of life. I pray that you are soaring on the best fair ride of your life right now. I want you to know how much you will always be my dearest "city cousin", Dee Dee.

Randy, Jared (Jocelyn), baby Jaxyn and Jenna. Our deepest condolences to you, as well as Dee’s mom Anne. I know all too well of someone taken away too soon. Keep her memories alive and her name in conversation. Best medicine I’ve learned in the grieving process. Lots love from your cousin(s), Dixie, Kevin and Michael Metz. Xoxoxo
