Joseph Patrick Yuhasz

September 24th, 2021

The world is a little less bright after losing one of its greatest contributors. Joseph Yuhasz passed away at the young age of 65 on September 24, 2021. Joe will always be remembered for his infectious smile and burly laugh that lit up every room he entered. He leaves behind his only child Tyler (Danielle); his cherished two grandchildren Lennon and Jack as well as his mother Marion Yuhasz and brothers Anthony (Jody), Terry (Lorene), and Doug (Lila) and their families. Joe was predeceased by his father, Joe Sr. Yuhasz.

Joe always had a way with people, and his strong bonds and relationships were the things that motivated him most. Whether it was greeting patrons and acquaintances while working at Regina Pats games, running into colleagues at work functions or catching up with friends at the local bowling alley, Joe always ran into someone he knew whenever he left his home. His rapport with every single person was that of the same, Joe always gave his best, and he always wanted your best. His outstanding community involvement, incredible work ethic, and general concern for the world around him and the people in it shone through on an uncontrollable level each and every day. If there was ever a person you wanted in your corner, it was Joe (especially at the card table).

Although Joe enjoyed his own rewarding and fulfilling life surrounded by friends and family, his most gratifying feat was raising his son Tyler. Whether it was attending every Roughrider home game together as season ticket holders, coaching Tyler on several sports teams, being his number one supporter in life, or encouraging him through the transition of becoming a father himself, Joe was always there. It is authentic to say that Joe and Tyler were and will continue to be very close.

A small and private family gathering is being held in memory of Joe this week and the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Joseph may be made to Diabetes Canada.

We know that Joe loved and was loved, and we find peace knowing he is with us now and always.

Messages:

To Joe and the family. My sincere condolences to everyone, I will truly remember Joe with fondness. Whether it was behind home plate catching one of his fastballs, or burning up the Xmas tree on the front lawn on New Years Eve, fun times followed him where ever he went. Please take care everyone, onward and upward.

Tyler and family: Rick, Johnathan, Anna and I send our sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad. Your Dad was always happy to say hello to us neighbours and help out in any way he could. I remember many times we would come home and our driveway was cleared of snow by your Dad. Our thoughts and prayers to you, your wife, children and the Yuhaz family. The Stadnek's

Was saddened to hear of Joe's passing. His laugh was infectious whenever you met him - he loved giving you the gears and enjoyed people. One person was never loved by so many across Canada for the Royal Purple and was a joy at all our conventions. He gave this same sense of humor and graciousness working the doors during exhibitions, games etc.and loved to visit while doing it. He will be missed by Tyler and all Joes family. Rest in peace dear friend.

I was so sad to hear, all I can think was of Joe's wonderful laugh. R.I.P

Ou deepest condolences to Auntie Marion and the entire family on the lose of such a wonderful man.

Our deepest sympathies for Marion and family. In time, we have all moved apart from one another but just know we are thinking of you all, and wishing we could be there for you. My fondest childhood memories are ones spent with you all, from the campfires, hide n seek, card games, meals and of course, laughs shared!! We are blessed to have Joe in our lives, and to cherish and keep his spirit alive in all of us. Sending our love to you.

I am shocked and so sad to learn of Joe's passing. I have many good memories of times spent with him (bowling, ball games, curling) and at the farm where his parents were so good to all of us. I considered Joe a good friend even though we didn't see each other much lately. To the family, I provide my sincerest sympathy and prayers.
