Duane Ross Wharton

October 18th, 2021

Duane Ross Wharton was born in Estevan, SK and passed away at 61 years of age. He was predeceased by his grandparents, father Robert, and his brothers Darrell and Robert. He is survived by his mother Rose; mother-in-law Mary; sister Linda (Ron); spouse Tammy; daughters Juanita (John), Amber (Scotty) and Cheyenne (Ryley); brothers-in-law Don (Bonnie) and Terry (Jen); grandchildren Jaxon and Joanna; lifetime friend and cousin John (Caroline).  Left to mourn also are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends too numerous to name but all very important in memory. Duane appreciated all of the support they gave through this short hard battle.

Born and raised in Estevan, he left home after school to begin his real education...life. There was nothing he would not try, construction, then to his career of 40 years with local 119 Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos workers. He was very talented and many of his friends and family that benefitted from these talents. He got his Master’s Degree in garage building thanks to Mike Campbell and other friends. He would always help a friend or family who was in need of these talents. He loved motorcycles and hot rods as well as travelling with both of these. He enjoyed many years with many great friends as a RMAI member. He had a passion for building which led to his last passion of old vehicle rebuilding. He loved being in his garage and being with his family, not necessarily in that order!

We will miss you deeply and love you forever.

Thank you to the Pasqua Hospital ER for their emotional support and generous gifts.

Thank you to the staff of ABCC and the Palliative Home Care Team.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Serbian Club, 2775 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan.
