Alfred "Sonny" Desjarlais

October 21st, 2021

 Sonny, late of Regina, Saskatchewan passed away on October 21, 2021 at the age of 71 with his family by his side after a short battle with asbestosis. He was predeceased by his parents Lena Desjarlais, John and Mary Desjarlais (stepmom); his sisters Gladys Bellerose and Yvonne Starblanket; brothers-in-law Jim Lejour, Martin Desnomie Sr. and Jimmy Starblanket; as well as other family members.

 Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Diana, Shelley, Tammy (Wayne), Marcy and Lee-Anne (Donnie); grandchildren Justin, Codie (Beatrix), Quintin and Jayda; great-grandchildren Theodore, Benjamin and Cooper; godchildren Becky, Jesse and Sean; his sisters Linda, Shirley, Leona and Joyce; his bothers Wilfred, Frank and Jerry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends. Although not together in recent years Mom Carol was the love of his life.

 Dad was known for his love of Snooker. He was always down to shoot a game. He participated in and won many snooker tournaments throughout the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. We love you Dad. You will always be a Champion to us.

 A Come and Go Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 1791 Smith Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Regina Cemetery, 2120 - 4th Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan.

I worked at the pool hall many years ago and watched Sonny in countless tournaments-was a very talented man.
