Ann “Nan” Josephine Saganski (Nee Connelly)

Nan, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Ann (Baby Trish - age 6); parents Thomas and Nan; brothers Joe, Tom, Jim; and sister Margaret. Nan is survived by her husband of 62 years Julian; daughter Jane Moser; sons John and Paul (Donna); grandsons Matthew and Jay. Nan was born in Drumheller, Alberta on March 11, 1932. She was truly a selfless individual always placing everyone ahead of herself. Nan was beautiful, loving, funny and caring. We are so lucky to have had her as our wife, mom and baba. You will be missed and never forgotten “little lady”. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1747 Toronto Street, Regina, SK. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1747 Toronto Street, Regina, SK with Father Vladimir Simunovic Presider. Lunch will be served immediately following the Funeral Divine Liturgy in the Parish Center. A special thank you to the care providers at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre and the Regina General Hospital Renal Units for the heartfelt care Ann received. To the staff and residents at the Trinity Manor, thank you for your love, care and prayers for Nan. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Nan and in honour of baby Trish may be made to the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Canada at www.sbhac.ca

Dear Jules and family. I am filled with sadness . Lovely Nan was my last cousin in Canada from my father, Jimmy Connelly’s side of the family. Thank you for all the years of friendship and family. I have some lovely memories of our growing families in the Calgary years before we moved separate directions. I shall be thinking of you.

Mothers hold our hands for just a little while but the love stays with us forever. Those we love don’t leave us, they are always with us in ours hearts and in our lives. Their gift is that boundless love! Nan loved you all so very much and your love for her was her comfort. As I remember her lovely kind smile I am thinking of you all at this difficult time. She is at peace. All my love!
