Eileen Gherasim

May 4th, 2020

Eileen Gherasim, beloved mother, wife, and grandmother passed away peacefully on May 4, 2020 at the age of 81 years. She was born in Tisdale, SK on October 4, 1938. Eileen was predeceased by her parents William and Stella Jackson and her brother Rodd.

Eileen is survived by her husband Sam; her daughters Janet (Rick), Diane (Darren); grandchildren Jordan (Reiss), Emersen, Tristen; sister-in-law Jan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Eileen and Sam raised their daughters in Regina, SK.  Eileen worked for the Government of Saskatchewan Corporations Branch for most of her career. Once she retired, Eileen and Sam loved to travel and spent many seasons in Arizona, as well as numerous other warm destinations to escape the cold Saskatchewan winters. Eileen returned home in the warmer months to enjoy gardening, long walks around the lake, baking, and having many family gatherings. Eileen’s children and grandchildren were everything to her and she dedicated much of her time to caring for her grandchildren. She will forever live in the hearts of her loved ones.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the caregivers of the William Booth Special Care Home who filled Eileen’s last years with love, kindness, and compassion.  We would also like to extend a special thanks to Audrey Gooding for playing a special roll in Eileen’s life.

A Celebration of Eileen’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan.
