Mark Joseph Andrew Biglin

April 11th, 1981 ~ August 19th, 2019

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mark Biglin announces his sudden passing on Monday, August 19, 2019 at the age of 38 years. Mark will be forever remembered and missed by his three children Tykayah, Breck and Piper; his partner Nickie; Grandma Peg; parents Lorraine and Mike (Dawn); brother Mike (Cindy); sister Heather (Dustin); his sister-in-law Jennie (Jordan). He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces Justine, Rowan, Micaela, Summer, and Kaliah; 2 nephews Troy and Cooper; 2 great-nephews William and Patrick; as well as extended family and friends all over Alberta and Saskatchewan. Mark was predeceased by his stepfather Brian Elton Abbott.

Mark always said the first 40 years of his childhood were the hardest. Though he didn’t reach adulthood, by his definition, at 38 years young Marky Mark enjoyed racing his funky bunch to the swing sets and slides, leaving them sitting on the top of the teeter totter while he laughed on the bottom, seeing who could make a stone skip the most, survival and “domestic” camping, off roading through mud, pulling out old school dance moves, and being pulled around in the deepest of snow on the GT with a tow rope attached to his hitch...laughing so hard and eating snow the whole way. Mark enjoyed the lighter side of life and truly was a big kid at heart.

Mark thought and felt deeply. He was not afraid to show his feelings. He loved Disney movies and shattered toxic masculinity when he would watch Moana and cry alongside his family. He was always learning and growing and took the lessons of life in stride as best he could. Mark cared about people. He was always an ear with thoughtful and encouraging words. He enjoyed watching those around him succeed in life. Mark was a man of integrity and kindness who possessed a unique sense of humor that he enjoyed using to brighten days. He believed that laughter is the best medicine. Mark had an impeccable work ethic and always tried to be and do the best he could for himself and the people he worked with. He was a great student and teacher, and wore both hats simultaneously and proudly. Mark lived his life in competition with no one but himself. He tried every day to be better than he was the day before.

The world lost a great man and heaven gained an amazing angel.
