Ella Mae Dubitski (nee Simoneau)

September 10th, 2020

March 24, 1959 - Sept 10, 2020

With the heaviest of hearts we are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our family matriarch, Ella Mae (Willy), after fighting her valiant battle with cancer. A beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunty, niece, cousin and friend to all.

Ella Mae was born in Kenora, Ontario, the eldest of six children to Eugene and Vera Simoneau. The family moved to Sylvan Lake, Alberta in 1965 where Ellla Mae spent her childhood years. Those years were held dear to her heart. In 1980 Ella Mae moved and resided in Red Deer, Alberta until her passing.

Ella Mae is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Anthony Dubitski; her children, Bobbi (Robin) Robinson, Ryan Simoneau, and Rhiannon Godin; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by both her parents; her only sister, Sherry; her brother-in-law, Carl; and her baby brother, Kevin.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the Red Deer Hospice Society. A special heartfelt thank you to her lifelong friend Barb Lacey Shelley, for being by her side since childhood, and everyday in countless ways throughout her journey.

Due to COVID a Private Service will be held.

For all who would like to pay tribute to Willy. A Come and Go Celebration will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Willy's beloved Elks Club#85, 6315 Horn St., Red Deer, Alberta. Masks and/or shields are required.
