CARINA MILL-FORSSTROM

1958 - February 16, 2019

On February 16, 2019, surrounded by family, Carina Mill-Forsstrom went home to be with the Lord after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. She now has endless green pastures and stubble fields to gallop through. Carina was known for her love of horses, delicious baking, green thumb, love for her family, and her strong determination to accomplish everything she set her mind to - be it running, music, volunteering, or learning something new. Carina will be missed by so many: husband Robert, children Sofie, Isabelle, and Marcus, relatives abroad, and countless friends across the country and beyond.

Her family is honoring Carina’s wishes not to have a funeral; instead, we will celebrate her life and memory on Saturday, May 11 between 2 and 4 pm at Tees Hall. In the spirit of Carina's love for baking and sharing food with friends, we ask that guests bring some baked goods or other snacks to share at a potluck "fika." Coffee and other refreshments will be provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lacombe Palliative Care Society in Carina’s name.

On behalf of the entire family, we would like to thank everyone for the tremendous love and support you have given Carina and the rest of us throughout this journey.

So sorry for your loss. Goodbye dear cousin ❤️

Goobye my dear, strong friend. Our meeting at Pony Club so many years ago led to many cross-country trips and visit to share our mutual love of horses and family. Rest in Peace Carina.

Condolences and wishes for comfort and peace to all of Carina’s family and friends. I knew Carina from PAADA, and will always remember her friendly and generous nature, and her devotion and hard work. She will be missed very much.

So sorry for your loss and may all the wonderful memories of Carina bring you comfort and peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have many special memories of your Mom. The gingerbread houses and hearts she made for us each year. Teaching Sunday School together at Saron.

Yes, Carina was a wonderful lady as I knew her - so positive and enthusiastic. It is an honor to be considered one of her friends.

My thoughts and prayers to the Forrstrom family on Carinas passing. I have many fond memories of Carina horseback riding, her delicious baking and her determination to any task she accomplished. Her memory lives on... Sincerely, Irene Hecht & family

What a lovely picture, capturing that smile! Still can't believe she's gone but feel it when I miss her daily texts and calls. Love to you all.

Our deepest condolences to the family. We have fond memories of Carina at Burnt Lake Stables. Her baking was a big hit with Dave when she worked for him. That was when he gained 15 lbs! We will miss her beautiful smile, it was a pleasure to have known her. Rest In Peace Carina.
