Elise (Lisa) Hau

October 7th, 2019

HAU, Elise (Lisa)

When I am down, and, oh, my soul, so weary
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

On October 7, 2019 Grandma Lisa left us to find the comfort and peace that she has been longing for.  Though it breaks our hearts to say good bye, there is relief in knowing that she is no longer struggling to do all that she loved to do.

She will be missed beyond words by her son and daughter-in-law, Rock and Guylaine Hau of Kingston, Ontario; her daughter and son-in-law, Brigitte and Darren Tooke of Red Deer, Alberta; her grandchildren, Adrien, Michel, Daniel and Lisa-Marie; and her precious great-grandchildren.

Lisa was born in La Tuque, Quebec to Polydore Tremblay and Marie-Jeanne Gravel.  Her family included two sisters, Dolores Turcotte and Jeanne Barrette; and a brother, Louis Tremblay.

She was married to Peter B. Hau on November 1, 1953 in St-Luc de Forestville, Quebec until Peter’s passing on October 13, 1994.

Lisa did not like to be the center of attention so there will not be a formal service. If you wish, we ask that you celebrate her life by taking a moment this Thanksgiving weekend and remember her in your own special way.

Messages:

I know how special your relationship was with your Mom and friend. Cherish the memories you will have forever.

My sincere prayers and condolences to you all. Brigitte and I went to school together. If Grandma Lisa was anything like Brigitte, then I can see what a special lady she must’ve been. Sending much love to all . RIP... you shall be missed greatly

Brigette and Family, Our hearts are weeping with you as you have lost your sweet mama. She was always so kind to us. We know there will be a big gap left but we also know that heaven is rejoicing for the soul that it has gained. Thank God we never have to say goodbye - just see you later. See you later Lisa! Ron & Kathy Regehr
